On 17 August 2026, a Thai soldier stepped on a PMN-2 landmine planted by suspected Cambodian military while conducting mine-clearance operations in Chong Arn Ma area in Song, Nam Yuen (Ubon Ratchathani). The explosion severed his lower right leg and injured his right hand.
