On 17 August 2026, Russian Forces launched an unidentified combination of air, drone and artillery strikes at Kherson, Kherson; a woman aged 45, and men aged 55 and 62 were injured in the city. During the day, Russian strikes and shelling damaged critical and social infrastructure, residential buildings, including 5 apartment buildings and 9 houses, a cell tower, an outbuilding, a bus and cars; 2 civilians (coded to Novokairy) were killed and 10 civilians (1 coded to Novovorontsovka, 3 coded to Kherson, and 6 others coded to this event due to an unspecified location) were injured in the Kherson region.
