On 17 August 2026, according to Russian sources, Ukrainian Forces launched drone strikes at the occupied Volnovaska community (coded to Volnovakha, Donetsk), damaging a car and injuring 2 civilians. In a separate Ukrainian drone strike on a road between Volnovakha and Yehorivka cargo vehicle was damaged, killing a driver and injuring another civilian.
