On 16 August 2026, Houthi forces fired 6 ballistic missiles and 5 drones that directly impacted a number of areas in Al Mukha city (Al Mukha, Taizz). 1 missile fell in Al Kahraba street, while another 1 fell on the city outskirts. Casualties unknown. Houthi forces claimed the attack against Taizz governorate, stating that they targeted military mobilizations belonging to the 'Saudi enemy', causing fatalities, injuries and destroying warehouses and weapons. The Houthi claim of the results of the attack was not corroborated by other sources. According to one source, the missiles were Iranian-made type Fateh-110s.
