On 18 August 2026, at around 4:00 pm local time, suspected Iranian forces (coded IRGC by default) fired 1 ballistic missile targeting the United Arab Emirates, but fell short within the country's territorial waters (coded to Coast of Abu Dhabi) (Abu Dhabi). There were no casualties or material damage. The UAE's Defense Ministry announced that the attack was targeting maritime navigation. Iran denied responsibility for the attack.
