On 17 August 2026, in Hpa Lu Lay village (Myawaddy township, Myawaddy district, Kayin state), the Myanmar military fired 3 heavy weapons into the No.915 Kyun Taw outpost of the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA (Buddhist)) at around 6:00 pm. 2 members of the DKBA (Buddhist) were killed and 17 others, including family members of DKBA (Buddhist) members, were injured.
