On 15 August 2026, at 4:30 AM local time, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike targeting two buildings in the Qalaat el Mays area between Zrariyeh and Ansar town (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh). 7 individuals, including two displaced families from Jibshit and Zibdine, were killed and 2 others were injured. The Israeli military claimed it targeted a Hezbollah headquarters in the area, killing a battalion commander in Hezbollah's Radwan Force alongside other members of the group. The IDF stated the attack was in response to an operation Hezbollah allegedly conducted against Israeli forces in the area.
