On 15 August 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike targeting a two-story residential building in Deir Ez Zahrani town (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh). Four individuals, including two displaced people from Mays el Jabal, were killed and 17 others were injured. The Israeli military claimed it killed a senior commander in Hezbollah's Badr Unit, a unit focusing on intelligence gathering and reconnaissance missions. The IDF stated the attack was in response to an operation Hezbollah allegedly conducted against Israeli forces in the area.
