Residents of the Príncipe Alfonso neighborhood in Ceuta have reported gunshots this evening, shortly before midnight.

They immediately issued a warning to have police surveillance in place due to fears that more serious incidents could occur because of the tension focused on different parts of the city these days.

They have notified the National Police for the timely deployment in search of shell casings and the launch of an investigation to find out the origin of these events.

Meanwhile, a man with a stab wound has been admitted to the Loma Colmenar University Hospital . He suffered injuries to his leg.

It is unknown whether the two incidents are related , but the police are trying to clarify this.
