SAA event in Colombia on Sat 22nd August 2026

In El Retorno, Guaviare, National Army troops captured two alleged members of the Isaías Carvajal structure, belonging to the faction of alias Calarcá. Among those captured is alias “Nicolás,” identified as a member of the finance commission and a trusted man of one of its leaders, and alias “Brenda,” an alleged member of its security scheme. During the operation, 7 firearms, more than 1,200 rounds of ammunition, magazines, communication equipment, and other items used by this criminal structure were recovered. The National Government maintains its determination to undermine the armed and financial capabilities of criminal organizations and protect communities. The Public Force will continue to act decisively and within the law to guarantee the security of Colombians.
