SAA event in Mexico on Mon 24th August 2026

A total of two men were shot and killed during an attack that occurred Sunday afternoon at a wake held in the Francisco I. Madero neighborhood in the capital of Colima .

The events occurred on Dalia Street, during a funeral service in memory of a 32-year-old woman who had been shot to death last Friday, also in this neighborhood.

Sources close to the Colima State Attorney General's Office confirmed that the attack was directed against the two men who were present. One of them was the brother of the woman whose wake was being held this Sunday.

According to initial reports from Colima, after seven o'clock at night, armed men arrived at the site and repeatedly shot the victims, who died at the scene.
