The Myanmar military reportedly bombed Kyauktan village in northern Rathedaung Township, Arakan State, this morning.
Jet fighters carried out a series of airstrikes between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on August 18, according to local residents.
Information regarding casualties remains unconfirmed due to severe communication disruptions in the area.
This follows an airstrike yesterday, August 17, on Auk Zee Kai village in the same township. That attack injured 48-year-old Daw Than May Nu and destroyed three homes.
Locals report that the military has escalated daily aerial bombings across Arakan State.
Statistics compiled by Narinjara News indicate that 31 Arakanese civilians, including women and children, were killed and 35 others were injured during violent military crackdowns over a six-month period from August 1 to August 16.
