Police arrested three persons, identified as Prince Singh, Harman Singh and Nishan Singh, and recovered 543 grams of heroin, four pistols and three empty magazines from their possession in Gharinda, Amritsar District, on August 9, reports The Tribune. Police said the trio was allegedly involved in procuring heroin and weapons from Pakistan-based handlers through drones and supplying them to villages and towns across Punjab. Acting on a tip-off, police raided an area near a water tank where the suspects were allegedly waiting to receive a consignment.
