SAA event in Manipur, Khoirum Sabal, Imphal West District area, India on Sun 9th August 2026

On August 9, a combined team of Imphal West Commandos, Patsoi Police Station (PS) and a column of 33 Assam Rifles (AR) conducted a search operation at Khoirum Sabal under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West District, Manipur, and recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and accessories, reports Manipur Police on X. he recovery included eight single-barrel breech-loading (SBBL) guns, one 9mm pistol with magazine, one anti-riot gun, three No. 36 high-explosive (HE) grenades without detonators, one white phosphorus (WP) grenade, six empty magazines of SLR, INSAS and .303 rifles, 86 assorted rounds of ammunition, six anti-riot shells, one vehicular communication set and two handheld communication sets. No arrests were reported in connection with the recovery.
