On August 8, Security Forces (SFs) recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, suspected Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and combat equipment from Khema Reserved Forest near the Office of the Forest Beat Officer at Napet Palli in Imphal East District, Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. The recovery included four 9 mm pistols with magazines, two single-barrel guns, one suspected IED weighing approximately 4.6 kilograms, 14 grenades, 162 live rounds of different calibres, 26 empty cases, two magazines, two stun shells and one rubber bullet. Military fatigues, a single BP iron plate, BP jacket cover, ammunition charger, communication set and other miscellaneous items were also recovered. No arrests were reported.
