Security Forces (SFs) killed seven Fitna al-Khawarij [FaK, a State term for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its associated groups] terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Hangu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 7, while Army Captain Hamza Akram (27) also killed during the exchange of fire, reports The Khyber Chronicles. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the IBO was launched on reported intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists. In an attempt to evade the advancing SFs personnel, the terrorists took refuge inside a mosque. During the ensuing exchange of fire, seven terrorists and Captain Hamza Akram from Narowal District (Punjab) were killed. Four other personnel also sustained injuries.
