Residents of Hathi Khel in Wazir sub-division of Bannu District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa successfully repelled an overnight attack by terrorists on August 14, preventing them from advancing into the village, reports The Khyber Chronicles. According to a resident, the terrorists launched the attack on the village in Pang Musa Khel, Hathi Khel, during the night. Despite sustained firing, residents remained resolute and confronted the attackers, blocking their advance. The resident said the terrorists continued firing for an extended period, but local people held their positions and resisted the attack. The confrontation continued into the morning, when the terrorists also attempted to target the area using quadcopters.
