On August 14, an Independence Day ceremony was attacked with multiple rockets and grenades in the Zarat Colony area in Quetta District of Balochistan, reports Zrumbesh. According to officials, many Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were present at the ceremony when the attack happened. However, there was no official confirmation of casualties or injuries immediately after the incident.
