On August 14, suspected cadres of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) and National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang-Yung Yang (NSCN-K-YA) opened fire on an Assam Rifles camp at Longvi under Nampong Police Station, Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh, reports India TodayNE. Assam Rifles personnel retaliated, forcing the attackers to flee into a nearby jungle. No casualties have been reported so far. Security Forces (SFs) subsequently launched a search operation to track the suspected militants and intensified surveillance in and around the camp.
