On August 14, a Bangladeshi man named Obaidul Haque Lalu (30) was seriously injured in a shooting in front of the Sunnah Mosque located in Block C-2 of Rohingya Camp No. 14 in Palangkhali Union, Ukhia Upazila (Sub-District) in Cox's Bazar District by Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO), reports Daily Bangla Post. It was reported that the incident was triggered by a land dispute, outstanding money transactions and past enmity. According to Police, while leaving the mosque after Friday prayers, Obaidul Haque Lalu got into an argument with RSO ‘commander’ Mohammad Yunus (35) and his companions. Ukhia Police Station SI Arman Azad said, "Armed Rohingya terrorists shot a local Bangladeshi shopkeeper in front of a mosque next to the barbed wire of Rohingya Camp No. 14. Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. A police operation is underway to uncover the real cause of the incident, recover the weapons used, and identify and arrest the people involved."
