On August 13, fighters of National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) in Badakhshan Province targeted the vehicle carrying Taliban Mayor for Feyzabad city, as a result of which he was killed, as posted in X.|On August 16, clashes between Juma Khan Fateh and Taliban fighters have resumed in Hil-Rama, Delwak, and Gasin areas of Badakhshan Province, reports Hast-e Subh. Heavy weapons, including “82mm cannons, ZK-383, DShK machine guns,” are being used in the clashes. Juma Khan Fateh has rejected a meeting with Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Taliban’s Chief of Army Staff, and Fasihuddin Fitrat called for an end to the fighting, but the Taliban commander did not agree to a ceasefire.
