On August 11, Police recovered nine pipe bombs and a large quantity of bomb-making materials from a three-storey building in Shyampur in Savar of Dhaka, reports The Daily Star. Law enforcers conducted the operation based on the information from a man (identity not specified), who was arrested earlier on suspicion of having links to Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). Police also recovered several JMB leaflets from the house. Further, it was reported that five powerful pipe bombs, made using a special technique, were recovered from a bag carried by the arrestee.
