Cantonment Police arrested four persons, identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Bhullar, Husanpreet Singh, Ahmed Raja and Jagseer Singh alias Bobby and recovered seven .30-bore pistols and five cartridges from them in Amritsar District on August 10, reports The Tribune. Police said Kuldeep and Husanpreet were allegedly in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler who supplied weapons through drones and that they further distributed the arms to criminal elements. Investigators found that Ahmed Raja and Jagseer Singh allegedly obtained the weapons from the duo on the directions of gangster Gurpreet Singh alias Krishan Jandiala. The weapons were allegedly intended for an attack on a rival gang member over an old dispute.|D-Division Police arrested three persons, identified as Navideep Singh, Anmoldeep Singh and Manjinder Singh alias Manga and recovered 1.054 kilograms of heroin, three sophisticated pistols and a drone allegedly used for cross-border sorties from their possession in Amritsar District on August 10, reports The Tribune. Police said Navideep was allegedly in contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler who supplied drugs and weapons through drones, which were then distributed to local associates and criminal elements.
