An alleged associate of the Mohabbat Randhawa gang, Jatinder Singh alias Ajay, was injured in an exchange of fire with Police before being arrested near Sarhali in Tarn Taran District on August 10, reports The Tribune. Police said Jatinder sustained a gunshot wound to the leg after allegedly opening fire at a police team during a checking drive. He was allegedly involved in four firing incidents linked to extortion demands over the past three months—two in the Sarhali police station area and two in the Patti area in Tarn Taran District. Police said the Mohabbat Randhawa gang has links to the Davinder Bambiha and Dony Bal gangs operating from abroad.
