On August 10, one person identified as Mannan Sardar (70) was killed and at least 10 people were injured in more than a hundred grenade explosions that occurred in a clash between two parties over control in the Laukhola area of ??Mulna Union of Jajira Upazila (Sub-District) in Shariatpur District, reports Prothom Alo. According to Police, Tamiz Khan, a member of the Jajira Upazila (Sub-District) Committee of the banned Awami League and his supporters were in a dispute over dominance with Rezaul Sikder, who is involved in Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) politics and his supporters in the Laukhola area.
