Grenade event in Sindh, Hatri, Hyderabad District area, Pakistan on Sat 25th July 2026

On July 25, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Hyderabad arrested an Afghan national allegedly linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the limits of Hatri Police Station in Hyderabad District of Sindh, reported Khyber Chronicles. The arrested terrorist was identified as Amir Suleman Khel. According to CTD officials, the suspect was involved in planning terrorist activities and a hand grenade was recovered from his possession. Preliminary investigation revealed that he was allegedly a trained operative who had been involved in terrorist activities in Afghanistan before entering Pakistan. Officials also stated that he was residing in Pakistan without valid travel or residency documents. A case has been registered under relevant terrorism and illegal stay provisions, and further investigation is underway.
