SAA event in Manipur, Singjamei, Imphal East District area, India on Sat 25th July 2026

On July 25, Security Forces (SFs) arrested an active cadre of the Kangleipak Communist Party-City Meitei) (KCP-City Meitei), identified as Urikhinbam Malemnganba Singh alias Watemba (30), from the Thongju Part-II area under Singjamei Police Station in Imphal East District, Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X.|On July 26, Security Forces (SFs) recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Wakha Ching area, opposite Shelloi Langmai Composite Farm, in Imphal East District, Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. Acting on intelligence inputs regarding the movement of armed miscreants, SFs recovered 29 firearms, including five Self-Loading Rifles (SLRs), four Indian Small Arms System (INSAS) rifles, two AK Ghatak rifles, one INSAS Light Machine Gun (LMG), six .303 rifles, three Double-Barrel Breech-Loading (DBBL) guns, seven Single-Barrel Breech-Loading (SBBL) guns and one pump-action gun. SFs also recovered one Lathode bomb, 619 live rounds of ammunition of different calibres, 40 drill cartridges and 17 rifle chargers. Further search operations are continuing.
