On July 25, 2026, Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) fighters shot down and destroyed two military drones belonging to the Taliban while they were conducting operations over areas of Zebak District in Badakhshan Province, as posted in X.|On July 23, Juma Khan Fateh fled Kabul and was seen on July 24, morning in Kuhistan Rag District of Badakhshan Province, reports Hasht-e Subh. Fateh managed to escape Kabul after paying a large amount of money. Afghanistan Internationaladds that after travelling to Kabul, he dismissed reports of his dispute with the Taliban leadership as “media propaganda”.
