IED event in Balochistan, Manji Khel, Tank District area, Pakistan on Fri 24th July 2026

A least 15 terrorists, 13 Army personnel, two Policemen, a former Forest Department official were killed during a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attack on a joint Security Forces (SFs) checkpost at the Manji Khel area of Tank District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 24, reports Dawn. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the attack took place early on Friday and was carried out by Fitna-al-Khawarij (FaK, a State term used for TTP) terrorists. Elaborating on the incident, the ISPR said failing to penetrate the check post through direct assault, the terrorists rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall, triggering a massive explosion that caused extensive damage to the facility. “Due to [the] blast impact, infrastructure at [the] checkpost was seriously damaged; resultantly, 15 brave sons of [the] soil, including 12 military, two policemen and a government official ex forest department, rendered the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat (martyrdom),” the statement read. During the subsequent operation, SFs pursued the fleeing terrorists and eliminated 15 terrorists.
