Two Police personnel, Inspector Tahir Nawaz and Constable Muhammad Ali, were killed while several others sustained injuries during a Police operation in the Nadar Banda mountainous area of Kohat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 20, reports Frontier Files.|A prominent religious scholar Maulana Younis Darmand was killed while his son was seriously injured when unidentified terrorists opened fire on them in Hangu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 20, reports Frontier Files. According to Police, Maulana regularly informed the public about Islamic injunctions against the terrorists, rallying local residents against them.|A man, identified as Malik Mazroof was shot dead by unidentified terrorists in the Sewai area of Mamund tehsil (revenue unit) in Bajaur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 20, reports Frontier Files. Police suspected Islamic State – Khorasan Province (ISKP) angle behind the killing.
