On August 18, a man named Mohammad Nishan alias Chhota Nishan (30) was arrested with a pistol stolen from the Police Station in Poddar Bazar area of Chandraganj Upazila (Sub-District) of Lakshmipur District, reports Prothom Alo. Nishan was arrested with a pistol, bullets, and a knife hidden in his waist. There are multiple murder cases against the arrested Nishan in Chandraganj Police Station. During the arrest, one pistol, 12 rounds of bullets, one modern knife and a motorcycle looted from the Police Station were seized from him. Chandraganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Rob said, "The arrested Nishan is a terrorist listed by the police. The police have conducted several raids to arrest him before. He will be sent to court today, Wednesday."
