Other MoA event in Gazipur District, Suryanarayanpur, Kapasia Sub-District area, Bangladesh on Tue 4th August 2026

On August 4, a petrol bomb attack took place at the house of Faridul Alam (Bulu), the convener of the Upazila (Sub-District) Jubo Dal, affiliated with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), in the Suryanarayanpur area of ??Sadar Union in Kapasia Upazila (Sub-District) of Gazipur District, reports Prothom Alo. Unknown miscreants threw two petrol bombs at Alam’s house. One of the two bombs exploded. No one was injured. Police inspected the scene after receiving the information. Later, BNP leaders and activists also went to the house the next morning (on August 5, 2026). Kapasia Upazila (Sub-District) BNP member secretary Azizur Rahman said, "This could be a planned attack. The house of Upazila Mohila Dal general secretary Sharmin Sultana has been set on fire before. We demand exemplary punishment through proper investigation of such attacks."
