SAA event in Balochistan, Awaran District area, Pakistan on Mon 3rd August 2026

A Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) ‘commander’, identified as Akhtar Ali Sher, was killed after local residents thwarted kidnap-for-ransom attempt in Awaran District of Balochistan on August 3, reports The Khyber Chronicles. The commander Akhtar Ali Sher, along with several armed accomplices, stormed the residence of a local civil contractor in an attempt to abduct him for ransom. The attempted abduction was met with fierce resistance from local residents, who confronted the armed terrorists despite being outgunned. During the exchange of fire, the BLF ‘commander’ was killed, while several other terrorists sustained injuries before fleeing the scene, abandoning the body of their ‘commander’. The targeted contractor was injured during the attack. His elder brother, however, lost his life after bravely confronting the attackers without weapons in an effort to protect his family and prevent the abduction.
