Unidentified armed men, suspected to be Baloch insurgents, attacked Police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) stations, seize city Police Station and set records ablaze in Kharan city (Kharan District) of Balochistan on the night of August 1, reports Zrumbesh. A large number of armed men entered Kharan city, with reports indicating that the City Police Station was seized, while the sound of heavy gunfire was heard from various parts of the city. While taking control of the Police Station, the armed men detained the personnel on duty, set fire to different parts of the station along with its records, and seized weapons found there. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
