Grenade event in Sindh, Husrri, Hyderabad District area, Pakistan on Fri 31st July 2026

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a wanted cadre of Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Husrri Police Station of Hyderabad District in Sindh on July 31, reports The Khyber Chronicles. According to the CTD spokesperson, the arrested cadre was identified as Imam Bakhsh Khaskheli, who was wanted by CTD in connection with multiple terrorism-related cases. During the engagement, the Imam Bakhsh Khaskheli’s accomplice, Somar Mallah, allegedly opened fire on the CTD team and managed to escape. During the operation, law enforcement personnel recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from the possession of arrested cadre. The recovered items included a hand grenade, explosive material, detonators, remote control devices, batteries, detonating cords, and empty casings of 30-bore and submachine gun ammunition.
