Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Balakliya area, Ukraine on Sun 23rd August 2026

Russia struck Balakliya on the evening of August 23. One person was injured. Fires broke out at the site of the strikes.

This was reported by the head of the MVA, Vitaliy Karabanov.

"The first strike fell on one of the city's neighborhoods. Private garages were damaged, a fire broke out on the spot. The second strike was on a civilian enterprise also in Balakliya. A fire broke out there too," Karabanov wrote.

The third strike damaged a private residential building and an outbuilding. A fire broke out at the scene. Unfortunately, one person was injured. She was provided with the necessary medical assistance on the spot. I wish her a speedy recovery.

A hit was also recorded in the territory of the Milova Starostyn district, outside the village of Milova: dry grass caught fire there, and a power line was also damaged.
