Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck fuel and lubricant storage tanks at the Yeysk oil terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai on August 22.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
A fire broke out at the facility.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
The Yeysk oil terminal is part of the infrastructure of the Port of Yeysk in Krasnodar Krai, on the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov.
It handles the receipt, storage and loading of petroleum products onto maritime vessels. The port’s cargo terminals have a throughput capacity of approximately 6.8 million tons of cargo per year, of which more than one million tons are liquid cargo, including petroleum products.
The facility is involved in supplying the Russian military.
