Ukrainian forces destroy Russian Hyacinth-S howitzer in Kursk region.
Soldiers of Ukraine’s 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade used FPV drones to destroy a Russian 2S5 Hyacinth-S self-propelled artillery system in Russia’s Kursk region that had been shelling Ukrainian positions.
According to Ukrinform, the Kursk Grouping of Forces reported this on Facebook and released video footage of the operation.
During a Russian artillery attack on Ukrainian positions, the brigade’s reconnaissance unit launched a UAV to locate Russian firing positions near the village of Borki in Russia’s Kursk region.
The aerial reconnaissance team spotted an active self-propelled artillery system firing at Ukrainian positions.
Strike FPV drones were quickly dispatched to destroy the target.
As a result of precise strikes, the Russian artillery system, reportedly worth about $4 million, was completely destroyed.
As reported, Russia’s total personnel losses since February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,474,030 troops.
