20-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death During Altercation in Gombe

A 20-year-old man has been stabbed to death during an altercation with two other youths in Dinchi Village, Jamari Ward, Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State. The incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, and was reported to the Dukku Police Division at about 2:00 p.m. According to a police source, the victim, identified as Inusa Musa, 20, was involved in an altercation with Adamu Ibrahim, 18, and another suspect identified as Ibrahim Mai Goro, all residents of Dinchi Village.

The suspects allegedly attacked Inusa with a knife, stabbing him in the neck and stomach and inflicting serious injuries. Following the attack, the victim was rushed to the Health Clinic, Kamba, for medical attention. However, he was confirmed dead by medical personnel upon arrival. The police subsequently visited the scene as part of their preliminary investigation, while the victim’s remains were released to his relatives for burial. One of the suspects, Adamu Ibrahim, has been arrested and is currently assisting the police with the investigation. His alleged accomplice, Ibrahim Mai Goro, is still at large. The Gombe State Police Command has intensified efforts to locate and arrest the fleeing suspect, while investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing continues.
