Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Mexico on Sat 1st August 2026

An attack allegedly carried out with explosives against security personnel in the municipality of Luis Moya, Zacatecas, left one police officer dead and two others injured during the early hours of Saturday, August 1. The attack occurred in the border area between Zacatecas and Aguascalientes , where authorities deployed a special operation to locate those responsible for the attack. The explosion alerted residents and corporations. According to initial reports, the attack occurred on Friday night when members of the Luis Moya Municipal Police were attacked while carrying out their security duties. Residents of the municipal capital reported a loud explosion that could be heard in different parts of the area, while police frequencies warned of a possible detonation of explosives and injured officers.
