Local authorities have identified the bodies of the two men found dead on the side of the road in the municipality of Guadalupe y Calvo, Chihuahua. The victims were identified as Christian pastor Miguel Valenzuela, between 40 and 45 years old, and his father, Ángel Valenzuela, between 60 and 65 years old. The discovery was made Monday afternoon on the stretch of highway connecting the community of El Ocote with the municipal seat. According to unofficial reports, the two men—originally from the community of Yerbitas—were traveling in a pickup truck toward the municipal seat of Guadalupe y Calvo when they were intercepted by a group of gunmen. The assailants forced the victims out of the vehicle and executed them on the side of the road before fleeing.
