SAA event in Mexico on Wed 12th August 2026

An armed group attacked and set fire to the facilities of the Agropecuaria Faja de Oro (AFO) poultry farm, located in the community of Temapache, Veracruz, resulting in the destruction of the complex, the burning of vehicles, and the disappearance of the security guard. The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, when the attackers stormed the property and fired weapons before setting fire to warehouses, corrals, and cargo vehicles. To hinder the response of emergency services and police, the attackers scattered tire spikes on the rural access roads and on Federal Highway 180.
