SAA event in Municipality of Tetovo, Tetovo area, Republic of North Macedonia on Sat 8th August 2026

A person riding a moped fired several shots from an automatic rifle at the family home of a 48-year-old man and fled the scene. The metal yard gate, the house facade, a gazebo in the yard, and a parked vehicle were damaged. Six shell casings were collected from the scene for forensic examination. A 34-year-old man suspected of the shooting was arrested. During a search of the home of a 44-year-old man, the police seized 66 hunting cartridges, two helmets, two surveillance cameras and a memory card. A 58-year-old woman suspected of assisting the perpetrator and of illegal possession of ammunition was arrested, while a 31-year-old woman later turned themselves in to the police. The 34-, 58- and 31-year-old perpetrators were detained and will be charged.
