Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 | On 08/20, JNIM provided details on its attacks from the previous day: 18 Burkinabè soldiers are said to have been killed in Séguénéga and Bourzanga. Weapons are said to have been seized at these 2 positions as well as at that of Basnéré.

🔶 In addition to this, 2 other attacks were claimed by the terrorist group during the day of 08/20:

- A VDP position taken in the morning in Yabonsgo (Yatenga)

- A VDP position taken in the afternoon in Silmadji (Soum)

⚠️ Note that the positions in Silmadji and Yabonsgo had already been attacked respectively 2 and 3 weeks ago. Séguénéga, for its part, had suffered an attack in early July.
