It is reported that on August 12, as the Military Council forces launched a massive offensive near Point 101 Hill in Yekyi Township, Ayeyarwady Region, and near Thabaung Kalay Village in Thabaung Township, battles broke out continuously in 5 locations on the same day.

Between the Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 101 under Division 66, which advanced from the Thabaung Township side, and the AA, a 3-hour battle took place about 1,000 meters east of Thabaung Kalay Village on August 12 from 6:53 AM to 9:53 AM.

In that battle, although the Military Council forces launched an offensive using air strikes, drones, and ground heavy artillery support, the AA members fought defensively and then launched a counter-offensive, causing casualties on the Military Council side and forcing them to retreat.
