Military junta airstrikes on Lledo Township, Khel Lwi Htoo District (KNU-administered Kawthoolei territory), left three innocent civilians dead, including a child, and injured eight others, according to a statement released by the KNU Central Committee.
On August 10 at 4:04 PM, a jet fighter from the junta's Taungoo Air Base dropped two 500-pound bombs on Kalaw Maw Kho (Bhura Gyi) village in Lledo Township.
The airstrike resulted in the immediate deaths of three people due to shrapnel injuries: Naw She Doo Paw (40), a displaced person from Ma Pi Paw village; Ma Ni Lar (40) from Kalaw Maw Kho village; and Naw El Jar Lin, a 9-year-old child. Additionally, eight civilians sustained injuries: Saw Kho Nu (55), Saw Bee Htoo (55), Saw Pa Hee Htoo (5), Saw Aung Kyaw Moe (35), Saw El Kler Say (14), Naw Say Say Yu Paw (9), Naw Mu Ka Pyu Wah (13), and Naw Thet Mar Aye (27).
The aerial bombing destroyed Saw Kho Nu's house, a granary, and two motorcycles; Saw Bee Htoo's shop worth approximately 2 million MMK; and Saw Ku Lar's house. A cow belonging to Saw Maung San was also injured.
