SAA event in Mexico on Sun 16th August 2026

A double homicide took place around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, at a residence on the corner of Diagonal 55A and Carrera 27 in the Nuevo Éxito neighborhood of Soledad, Atlántico. The victims have been preliminarily identified as Alfredo José Camargo Ortega and Cristian Alfredo Gutiérrez Robles, two friends who were inside the home at the time. According to initial reports, two men forced their way into the property and opened fire on the young men. The attackers also allegedly stole the victims’ cell phones before fleeing the scene. A woman who was present managed to escape by running out onto the balcony. She sustained a minor cut during her escape but reached safety. The bodies of Alfredo José and Cristian Alfredo were later found inside the residence. The incident has left residents of the area shocked and distressed.
