SAA event in Mexico on Thu 13th August 2026

In operations aimed at protecting assets, public order, and citizen security in Nayarit, personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the National Guard, and the State Police detained an armed individual in the municipality of Huajicori. The operational action was recorded during preventive patrols in the region. The detained person had a Barrett rifle, four long arms, magazines, cartridges, two improvised explosive devices, a tactical vest, and a drone jammer used to interfere with aerial technology seized from them. Our team on the scene confirmed the security deployment carried out by federal authorities following the operation. The detainee and the weaponry were secured institutionally under the jurisdiction of the Attorney General's Office to determine legal responsibilities.
