The arrival of federal forces coincided with the hours following a confrontation in the mountainous region of Tayoltita, San Dimas, where gunmen attacked the National Guard battalion in that area, leaving one person dead.

It was right on Boulevard de la Juventud where the officers set up a sort of checkpoint to conduct random inspections. Several units converged on that point in the city, where they were seen stopping some cars for inspection.

Drivers traveling on Boulevard Francisco Villa managed to capture the moment when a couple of Navy vehicles were passing through the area while, a few meters behind, a trio of motorcyclists, known as "hawks," followed them to report their movements.

The sentry manning the Navy unit realized they were being followed, and his actions terrified the suspects: upon noticing the pursuit, the gunner turned his machine gun and swiveled toward the motorcyclists, aiming it at them. The motorcyclists slowed down and stopped following. A few meters ahead, the convoy took the overpass on Francisco Villa Boulevard and lost contact with them.

Two lookouts following a Navy convoy along Fanny Anitúa Avenue ended up entering the Las Moreras green areas to maintain distance and avoid being intercepted. This incident occurred on Thursday.

The motorcyclists continued reporting the Navy units' movements by radio as they passed through the university area. The official vehicles continued on their way while the motorcyclists followed closely behind.

Meanwhile, after a chase that unfolded from the psychiatric hospital to Naranjo Street, one of the lookouts was apprehended; the man was shouting for help!
