On 12 August 2026, Russian forces carried out drone strike at the Zaporizkyi district and Zaporizhia city, Zaporizhia. In the morning, Russian drones struck the residential area. A residential building was destroyed, a fire broke out in an outbuilding. Neighboring houses were damaged by the shock wave and debris. A 76-year-old man was killed and a 74-year-old woman was injured, 1 more civilian was injured in the Zaporizhia district. Moreover, a regional military administration received 51 reports of damage to infrastructure, housing and cars in the Zaporizhia region.
